Esteemed members of the 227th Expedition,
Your recent accomplishment in establishing the portal to the Eternal Lands is nothing short of extraordinary. You've achieved what was once thought impossible, opening a new chapter in Roera's history. You have reinforced the confidence in your ability to face the challenges that lie ahead.
As we embark on this second Grand Expedition, a new and urgent imperative has emerged that demands our immediate attention and resources.
Primary Objective: The Voiceless Threat
Findings on the last mission unveiled an imminent danger: a type of Nightmare designated as the Voiceless. These entities pose a significant threat to expeditions due to their proximity to our newly established portal in the Eternal Lands. Your primary objective is to gather crucial information about the Voiceless and develop strategies to counter this menace.
I cannot overstate the extreme danger and potential lethality of this mission. Your objectives will require direct confrontation with the Voiceless and other Nightmares. Exercise utmost caution, rely on your training, and above all, protect one another.
Each faction will undertake specific responsibilities:
-The Eye of Antiquity: Study and analyze Voiceless behaviors. Exercise extreme caution and pay close attention to the brief.
-The Teeth of Noor: Engage Voiceless in controlled combat situations to identify exploits and potential ways to eliminate them.
-The Hand of Tomorrow: Capture Voiceless specimens, examine them, and conduct experiments.
Your respective Faction Leaders - Stancyzk, Hadden, and Shiori - will provide on-site briefings regarding the specific methodologies for achieving these objectives.
Reinforcements
In light of this new threat, the Council has authorized additional support. Reinforcements for each of your factions have been dispatched by ship and are expected to arrive on the first night of the expedition. Upon arrival, they will attune to the portal, granting them access for both this mission and future endeavors. Swiftly integrate these members into your ongoing operations.
Furthermore, the Council has allocated additional resources to each of your factions. These resources have been carefully selected to aid in your specific objectives and enhance your capabilities in the field. Your Faction Leaders will brief you on these new assets and their strategic deployment upon your return to base camp.
Secondary Objectives
1. Locate, study, and if possible, eliminate the Voiceless nest(s).
2. Recover the manifest, names, and if possible, bodies of those aboard the Dragon's Breath.
3. Document any findings related to the previous 226 Expeditions.
4. Research, study, and record information about encountered Nightmares.
5. Create comprehensive reports of all findings, as our understanding of the Eternal Lands remains limited.
6. Continue research on other Nightmares encountered.
7. Investigate the origins of the buildings found around the established portal.
8. Continue investigations into the godstongue tablets and history of the Eternal Lands.
