FEBRUARY EVENT CANCELLATION

Hey Legends fam,

We regrettably have to announce the cancellation of the February 14-16 Legends event.

Requiem LARP is one of our KHE sister LARPs. The first Requiem event this year, which was scheduled for this weekend (January 24-26), has been forced to cancel due to the closure of Singletary Lake State Park - there is currently 5 inches of snow on the ground there and the access road is bad. The park is closed entirely tomorrow and likely Saturday, not just to us but the public too.

To be totally transparent about why we're giving this date to Requiem:

We have already sold tickets for this Requiem event, and thanks to miraculous timing, Legends tickets and season passes hadn't gone on sale yet (the announcement was going up tonight fortuitously....).

We absolutely would not be making this switch if Legends tickets and season passes had already gone up. The refund fees for cancelling Requiem tickets would cost more than the difference in player counts between our games, and we're asking Requiem players to transfer their tickets if at all possible.

You guys already know that Legends is our established, regular player base and we deeply value that. However, Requiem has faced several cancellations and, frankly, the reputation there for game cancellations is in the garbage. It's finally gaining momentum with huge recent growth, and we need to establish solid rapport with that growing player community. I want to be super clear that this isn't about prioritizing one game over the other - it's purely the circumstances around ticket sales and the rapport we need to reclaim with Requiem players. This isn't a normal thing and we won't be swapping any other dates around willy-nilly. We are actively searching for an alternative additional date for Legends later this year and will announce the new date as soon as it's confirmed. I'm holding off on the Season Pass announcement/sales until we have a confirmed new date, which I will get everything to you guys in February.

Understandable that you guys are disappointed - I'm disappointed too. The whole team is. We have a really great story planned for this year and I was excited to get back to it. We were looking forward to kicking off the 2025 season with you all, but we'll make it worth the wait for the new Legends season opener April 11-13!
