Late in the evening, Merci can be seen bustling around the Tavern in New Haven. She hangs wreaths of gold and red leaves. The smell of some kind of strange bread floats about the building. Large gourd-like vegetables have been hollowed out and within them is a stew full of potatoes, meat, and vegetables. Other gourds are filled with a liquid of some kind. Still others are full of various sweets and candies. Fresh fruits are set out on several of the tables. A large hand-woven red rug is laid out before the fireplace, which has a large, well-built fire blazing within it to keep out the night’s chill. Under her breath, she hums a happy tune.
Instead of her usual pants, she wears a skirt of yellow, red, and brown. Her top her usual brown longsleeve lace-up top now has red and gold beads hanging from the bottom that jingle against one another as she walks. On her face are strange markings in a vibrant orange paint. ((Any Halfling recognizes these markings as the markings for the Rite of Harvest)). Her hair is left loose, a wreath of more yellow and red leaves on her head.
